You know every great achievement starts with a dream, right? Those dreams produce ideas, those ideas produce plans, and those plans become innovations.
What do you dream about? What keeps you up at night? What are you holding back from sharing with the rest of the world? You never know just how much someone may need what you have to share. Don’t let the small-mindedness of others keep you from doing what you know you’re supposed to do. The world needs you and your ideas. Take that dream from idea to reality! The video below offers a little more encouragement. Have a great day!

While its clear that songwriting is doing a pretty good job of covering his bills, The-Dream won’t leave his fans without his personal performance art for too long. This new single “ROC (Roc Your Body)” is the first sample of what’s to come on his 4th LP aptly titled The Love, IV: Diary Of A Madman.
Similar to the sounds fans grew to love on his previous projects “ROC” is a mellowed out lover’s jam. Get close and turn this one up.

While the glamorous lure of being an artist can be attractive, the wise know that the real money comes in the creation of material (songwriters, producers.) Terius Nash, widely known by his stage name The-Dream, is a prime example.
While in the UK in support of Rihanna, (he caught one of the shows on the European leg of the LOUD tour) Mr. Nash stopped to chat with one of the biggest radio personalities in London, Tim Westwood. In the interview, they discussed many things, but most notably, The-Dream revealed that he received a $15 million pay out for writing Rihanna’s monster hit “Umbrella”. Whoo. He also discusses the songwriting process behind Justin Bieber‘s big hit “Baby” and the demise of his marriage to singer/actress Christina Milian. Watch below: Continue reading »

I was really sad to share the news of Heavy D’s passing. I found this story at GlobalGrind, and thought it would be fitting to share. It’s a blog that Heavy wrote himself, last year. Check it out, and have a great day:
“Some years back there was a young, ambitious, tenacious young man who wanted to rule the world. This young man and I grew up in the same town. I was slightly older by a couple of years but I had already begun to realize my dreams. This young man reminded me a lot of myself. Continue reading »

If you haven’t picked up Terius Nash‘s (formerly known as The-Dream) free album 1977…what are you waiting for? The talented multi-hyphenate released this video to accompany one of the more popular tracks on the album “Ghetto.” It features a verse from Big Sean, and was shot in Atlanta by Motion Family.
Many people discussed the ending of the track, and found it interesting that The-Dream would choose to cover one of Beyonce‘s song’s “Dance 4 U”… The-Dream actually wrote that song which can be found in full on Beyonce’s latest album 4. The video cuts that part short, but…I still enjoyed it. Check it out below:
