Start your weekend right with the smooth vocals of Yuna (Yunalis Zarai). A little less than a month ago she released her single Live Your Life from her self titled forthcoming album which is set to be released in the spring of this year. The track produced by Pharrell Williams is most definitely a hit. I’ve replayed it countless times, so check it out for yourself.

My current music obsession has been for quite some time Florence + The Machine. Ever since hearing her debut hit single The Dog Days Are Over – I’ve been hooked. She has made a name for herself with her incredibly beautiful voice and is here to stay. Her lyrics definitely resonate with her fans – as they are so poetic and tell such a vivid image of her emotions.
Her latest and second album Ceremonials- which was released in October of last year is beyond amazing and was voted Album of the Year by Q Magazine. The album’s debut single What The Water Gave Me is one of my favorites but here are a few more to add to your music playlist: Never Let Me Go, Shake It Out, Only If For One Night. John Legend has been on hiatus, busy getting engaged and of course working extensively with this non-profit organization The Show Me Campaign. Late in January he announced the release of his newest single tonight featuring Ludacris on the upcoming film soundtrack for “Think Like a Man.”
He noted via Twitter that it would also be on his upcoming fourth album - only if the fans liked it (so love it people - because I certainly do). The new record produced by Phatboi, is definitely sexy and soulful. I really like the record and it has been on constant replay in my iPod since its release. Check it out below for yourself.

If you haven’t seen the movie Drive with Ryan Gosling and Carrie Mulligan, I suggest you stop whatever you’re doing (after you’re done reading this of course) and go see it ASAP! It is an amazing movie- a bit graffic and violent, but worth the watch.
Musically speaking the soundtrack to the film, simply put is … perfection. Immediately after watching the film, I went online to find the soundtrack. One song in particaular I wanted to share with you guys is Nightcall by Kavinsky. The French artist is an electro-house genious with three EP’s under his belt. Check him out below, enjoy!

I came across singer-songwriter Gotye while watching VH1′s Top 20 Countdown over the weekend. Immediately I thought to myself, I have to share it with you guys! The lyrics as well as the visual for the song Somebody That I Used to Know - featuring Kimbra was what caught my attention and further drew me to find out more about Gotye.
Gotye’s Making Mirrors is his third studio album, which was released in mid August of 2011. The Aussie has already made waves for himself with his most recent album Making Mirrors reaching number 1 on the Australian album chart last year. If you’re not familiar with English band Keane, I’m not exactly sure where you’ve been hiding, but I’ll bring you up to speed. This group originally formed in 1997 and has been producing hit after hit ever since. The hit single that propelled them into stardom was “Somewhere Only We Know,” which earned them a Grammy Nomination for the Best New Artist category in 2005.
It’s my favorite track from their 2004 album Hopes and Fear. I’ve literally outplayed this song not only on my iPod, but also in my head…I promise it never gets old. Take a listen for yourself below and let me know.

U.K’s very own Ellie Goulding, having already successfully established a name for herself overseas with her debut album Lights (reaching number 1 on UK’s album chart in 2010,) is looking to make her mark in the United States with her electro-folk- pop music. She started off 2012 with a bang with multiple live performances on the Late Show with David Letterman and JetBlue’s Live at T5. Check out this performance of her hit single Lights.
