Today marks a great day in a our musical history. Yes, on this day, in 1981, Beyonce Giselle Knowles was born… and a few years later, began a journey to world domination.

Now, she’s a member of an elite club of artists that are referred to by just one of their names, she’s one half of the most powerful (and wealthy) couple in hip-hop, and she’s mother to a cute 6 month old named Blue. With all she’s accomplished, she still has so much more to go.
