Add Kelly Rowland to the list of ladies who are winning!
Not only is she coming off of a successful run as a judge/mentor on X-Factor UK, she’s got a new gig as a mentor on Australia’s Everybody Dance Now, a brand new line with luxury watch maker TW Steel, a new album on the way, and now, she could be hitting American television with a starring role in a new BET sitcom pilot, which is set to begin filming soon.
Under the working title “What Would Dylan Do?”… the show follows Dylan, (to be played by Rowland,) a struggling LA-based relationship blogger who lives with her best friend Cherise (played by Gabrielle Dennis, The Game) and a wealthy divorcee roommate named Brooke (played by Melanie Liburd, Strike Back)
Should BET order the show to a full series it will be added to a list of original programming that includes returning shows The Game, Reed Between The Lines, Let’s Stay Together, along with upcoming shows Second Generation Wayans and The Real Husbands of Hollywood.
I am all for brand expansion, and it really seems like Ms. Rowland has come into her own as of late. I’m looking forward to seeing her acting again. How about you?
