Remember back in June when Chris Brown and Drake were involved in a fight at New York’s WiP Nightclub? You know, the one that was allegedly sparked due to their relationships with Rihanna? The one that left Chris Brown with a gash in his chin, NBA star Tony Parker with a ripped cornea and an Australian girl with over 20 stitches in her face?
According to a suit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court today, Brown and Drake were the ones that started the fight (which goes against the original story, that the artist’s respective crews initiated the brawl) and are thus responsible for the negligent damages.
I mean, really, who didn’t see this coming?
Entertainment Enterprises, Ltd, the entity filing the litigation, owns both Greenhouse NYC, and WiP Nightclubs. They’ve been sued for $20 million by Tony Parker, and are more than likely looking to recoup some of the damages that they’re going to have to pay to the NBA star.
The suit claims that Brown & Drake “should have foreseen that their notoriety and celebrity would ensure that their acts had farreaching and devastating effects,” although neither of them have been criminally charged in the case.
We’ll see how this plays out… because every action has a consequence.
