Gabby Douglas shut the game down this afternoon, winning a Gold medal in the Women’s All Around Gymnastic Competition, and made history… becoming the first African American to do so.
After leading her teammates to the US’ first Gold since 1996 earlier this week, the 16-year-old Virginia native scored a decisive victory over the individual competition today.
