All of Rick Ross‘ music is beginning to sound the same to me. That’s not necessarily the worst thing in the world, especially in this case, because it means that he’s consistently decent. “3 Kings” is a prime example. And three kings indeed… the track features verses from The Hulk Dr. Dre and proud poppa Jay-Z.
I just wonder when Ross will realize that his lyrical content has become so redundant, that we can almost finish his bars for him. I also wonder when Dr. Dre will realize that he should probably just stick to making money off of the beats and the Beats, if you know what I mean. What saves this track, and what had Funk Master Flex dropping bombs all over this track when he premiered it on his show this evening, is Jay-Z’s scene stealing verse. I mean, he ate this one… and in one take. I particularly love it when he raps like this, because he always gives me something to aspire to. This time, it’s parking at my own stadium and brokering $300 million deals for myself. Ah, the life.
