Morning Motivation: 12/1/11 – You’ve Got 30 Days

Today marks the first day of December, the LAST month of 2011. The year has flown by, and if you’re reading this I’m sure you have plenty to be grateful for. Soon people will begin to talk about their new resolutions for 2012. But, why wait? Start now! Get a jump start.

We have 30 days left until the end of the year. Studies suggest that if you want to create a new habit, it will take you 21 days. So, if weight loss is in your plans for 2012, work on a healthier eating plan and start working out today. If you’re looking to set goals for business or for education, start writing out those goals and creating a plan to attain them now. It worked out well for me. When I was preparing for 2011, I sat down and wrote a series of goals that I’d like to attain. As of now, all of those goals have been met, and it’s been that way for months. You’ve got to be able to see it, to achieve it.

One of the coolest ideas that I’ve come across as of late is the concept of a vision book. Many of us have created vision boards, but creating a vision book allows you to see all of your goals in one place over time. One of my favorite bloggers, Necole Kane wrote about it on her blog. She breaks it down in detail so you can also create one for yourself.
