What color is beauty? I’d like to think that it comes in all shades, colors and variations. Unfortunately, the fashion industry does not necessarily agree. “The Colour of Beauty”, a short documentary presented by The National Film Board of Canada, details the experience of Renee Thompson, a black model on a quest to be a part of New York’s prestigious fall fashion week. Check out the commentary on her “go-see” around the 6 minute mark, its particularly disheartening.
