Those of you who know me well know that I love CW’s sitcom “The Game.” Starring Tia Mowry, Pooch Hall, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Coby Bell, Brittany Daniel, and Hosea Chanchez, the show is based around a fictional football team and the women that stand behind them. The show was originally a spin off of UPN’s “Girlfriends” (Melanie, Tia Mowry’s character, was introduced as Joan Clayton’s neice during an episode of Girlfriend’s final season.) Now in it’s third season and third time slot, a dip in ratings has the show fighting to stay on air, and fighting to transition from 30 minutes to an hour. In the video below, the stars of the show ask fans to post on the show’s message board via the CW’s website. The goal is 1 million new posts by April 15th, the date that the creator of the show, Mara Brock-Akil is set to present the ideas to the network executives. Please drop by the website and support the show. It’s important for us to support the sitcoms that we have left in the midst of all the reality shows, and I really think this is a good one. Check it out, and tell your friends. The Game currently airs at 12p and 5p daily in syndication on BET, and new episodes air Fridays at 8:30p on The CW.
